Why do you need to contact my GP about a medication supply or refusal?
At onlinemeds, we ensure the highest standards of care are maintained to make sure you are getting the safest and most effective treatment for your condition. We notify your GP of each supply and/or refusal of medication so that your GP is aware you have been prescribed medication from another prescriber. This allows them to have a complete and full picture of your health and any medication you may currently be taking.
Do onlinemeds offer a live chat support for quick questions?

What forms of ID do you accept?
We accept any of the following forms of photo identification for verification: a passport, driver’s licence or provisional driver’s licence, or an EU national identity card. When you register for our service, you’ll be prompted to upload your chosen form of ID.
Are all products on onlinemeds prescription-only or are some available over the counter?
All products offered by onlinemeds are prescription-only medications. Each order requires a review, a further consultation if applicable and a private prescription issued by a registered prescriber.
How do I order my medication on onlinemeds?
Create an account by clicking the ‘person icon’ on the top right-hand side of the homepage, search for your preferred medication and complete the questionnaire. You may need to have a consultation with one of our prescribers before a prescription is issued – this is just to make sure it is safe and appropriate for you.
How does onlinemeds handle prescription approval for my order?
After you complete an online questionnaire, one of our UK-registered pharmacist prescribers will review your responses to confirm that the medication is safe and suitable for you.
For certain medication and conditions, a quick and convenient video or phone consultation will be required before a prescription is issued. Our pharmacist prescriber may also need to independently verify the information you provide through other avenues such as contacting your GP, looking at your Summary Care Record (SCR) or conducting an in-depth video consultation with you.
Approved prescriptions are then processed for dispatch.
Will I need a prescription to place an order for all medications?
Yes, one of our prescribers at onlinemeds will issue a private prescription for you as long as it’s safe and appropriate. We do not accept NHS prescriptions or private prescriptions issued by prescribers not employed directly by onlinemeds.
What happens if I make a mistake with my preferred medication in my order? Can it be changed before shipping?

Some medication for certain conditions (e.g., Mounjaro or Wegovy for weight loss) require a further consultation with our prescribers so the most effective and safest choice of medication will always be made in consultation with you.
For all other orders, we’ll try to amend it if the order hasn’t been processed for dispatch.

If you are requesting weight loss medication for the first time, we will usually require a short video consultation to confirm your current weight. You can book this consultation here by selecting weight loss verification consultation.
Alternatively, you may provide weight verification from your GP or a local pharmacy. Our prescribers review all weight submissions carefully, and if your weight verification is unclear or inconsistent with previous records, we may ask you for additional evidence or a follow-up consultation before approving your prescription.
What verification checks are required for repeat supplies of weight loss medicines?
For repeat prescriptions of weight loss medicines, you will need to complete a re-order form and provide essential information such as your current weight at the time of the re-order.
Our prescribers will then review your weight loss progress to ensure that treatment remains appropriate. If your weight is inconsistent with previous records or from the initial weight verification process, we may request further evidence or a follow-up consultation.
Our prescribers will conduct a video consultation every 6-months following on from the initial video consultation and BMI verification process.
How long will it take to review my order?

In some cases, we may need to verify the information you provided to us in the questionnaire with your GP, checking your Summary Care Record (SCR) or conducting an in-depth video consultation with you – this is just to make sure your preferred medication requested is safe for you.
