Betnovate’s active ingredient is betamethasone valerate, a potent corticosteroid. When the body gets exposed to an allergen or irritation, it reacts by producing chemicals. - Betnovate cream can be used alongside other topical medicines. Leave a window of 30 minutes in between to prevent any medicine from becoming diluted.
Do not apply Betnovate cream on sensitive areas, such as on the face, under the eyes, or ears. The cream is unsuitable for you if you have the below conditions:
- Are allergic to steroid medicines.
- Have a large area of affected, itchy skin.
- Have psoriasis.
- Have a chronic leg ulcer
- Are pregnant.
The active ingredient in Betnovate is betamethasone 0.1% (as valerate). It also contains cetomacrogol 1000, chlorocresol, cetostearyl alcohol, soft white paraffin, liquid paraffin, sodium acid phosphate, phosphoric acid, sodium hydroxide and purified water.
Side effects from using Betnovate cream are rare. If you experience any, they may include:
